I have just completed a C4 to T5 swap using Mustang Steve's cable clutch set up. However, the cable literally rests up again the exhaust manifold. I seems to be the only way that I can fit the cable, but I'm wondering if either the cable will be fine tucked in between the manifold and the shock tower, or if it can be rerouted for a better, less heat exposed area. Thank you

What about some header wrap placed around the cable to protect it?

the cable will not last long touching the manifold. i dont know anything about that kit but you will need to do something to get it off. you can try use a heat wrap of some sort but if its touching i dont think a heat wrap will be enough.

just put some exhaust wrap around the header where the wire hits it but put a lot of it

or make some hangers / brackets so it does not hit it

When this cable burns up, go get yourself a 2003 mustang clutch cable. Its a little longer and should solve your problem.
