I have started picking up performance parts for my Maverick. I am going to to the 2V conversion, cam kit and headers. Well I also picked up a tac for a good price. I won't be doing the conversion until this winter but I think I am going to hook up the tac early.....It is looking kinda sad just sitting in the package. Is it silly to go ahead and hook up a tac on a stock 6 cyl? I really like my gadgets! :thumbs2:

I have not had a car made in the last 25 years that didn't have a tach no matter what the engine size. People like them and that is why all cars have them. If you like them too and want it, put it in. Nobody to please but yourself ...........

The number of cylinders has nothing to do with whether or not a tach should be installed.

With that said, you'd be better off doing a V-8 conversion than spending time & money trying to hop up an inline six.
