I'm sure that this one has been done before, but hey just how many different types of taillights do these cars have either from the factory or something that was changed by the owners. Post your pictures, My Comet , with standard taillights. Earls Maverick with '72 Mustang taillights. Larry Winters Maverick with Torino taillights. Grahams Maverick with standard Pinto / Maverick taillights. Anyone else?
Here are the weird ones from some bad movie where the car had no brakes or the gas pedal stuck or something.
That would be the epic movie "Runaway Car'' the second best movie ever made with a Maverick in it. Here's another action shot. Now that is some tight cornering.
OH OH OH , i know someone,.............. ME.bananaman:bananaman Your Comet looks great, i didn't know that it was a Comet, i thought it was a Maverick.
i have a Comet and a maverick .... The motor in the comet blew up so i put the blower on the maverick ....
HUH, yours or mine? The blue Comet looks the same as the blue Maverick, i mean right down to the wheels, paint, ride height, motor etc, etc, etc.
O.K. that makes since. It makes me think back about 16 years ago i remember seeing two blue Mavericks / Comets that were the same in every way. Right down to the colour (blue), small bumpers, ride height, blower and both were tubbed. I would see both of them about 2 weeks apart over the years. I (foolishly) thought the guy was changing the hood , grill and taillights around from Maverick to Comet just to be different. And no i didn't know at that time that the taillight panel was different and would make it to difficult to change the taillights. I finally figured it out one day that it was two different cars that looked the exact same - one Comet ,one Maverick when i saw both of them within a half hours time while i was driving around with my girlfriend. That was way back in 1993. Damn i wish i had some pictures of those cars, they were both stunning. Funny thing is after that day i never saw either one of them again.
