Ok guys, what are we going on, two years now?? LOL. At last, all sheet metal is hung for the most part. Car is finally looking like a car again.

lol, they even bought some dd maverick as a parts car for mine, that you can see in the background.

anyhow, what is left?? a couple of touchup things on the body that I want them to correct, they still have to undercoat the entire undercarriage, rechrome and hang the bumpers and mouldings, and just little odds and ends...I'm pretty happy.

oh yea, car still hasn't been cut and buffed/wet sanded yet. It's extremely dirty here, so it's going to look even 10 times better when it's finally finished.

for now, I'll be going with 04 bullit wheels. You can see them on the 04 cobra in the background of one of the shots. Those are the wheels that I'll put on the maverick for now (he sold me those wheels off that car)

anyhow, after the shop finishes their end, I can finally tow it back to my place to do the mechanicals and interior. I'm still optimistically hoping to be finished by end of this year.

the body came out freaking wonderful. not a single ding, and not a single ripple. It looked like a damned ruffles potatoe chip when I brought it in, from all the factory waves in the sheetmetal.

you can see the parts maverick behind mine in these pics above

I've had 2 hoods painted blue...the oem non grabber hood, and this grabber hood. It'll also get the grabber fin in the back, which hasn't been painted yet

you can see the wheels on the 04 cobra in the background that will be going on the maverick for now (a budget minded decision)

    Looks great!!

Those wheels may be on an '04 Cobra, but they appear to be '05+ GT wheels.

really?? how can you tell?? I don't want 05+ wheels! i know the size is funky, it's a 235/55/17 pirelli tire..which is not the right size for an sn95 mustang (245/40/17's came on them initially)

He's right, those appear to be 05+ style wheels on the Mystichrome Cobra and the tire specs you gave reinforce that

poop. the wheels actually look different than the earlier ones no????

well, I don't want to run these then, they'll need too much b/s to clear.

I've got a hook up for other bullitts though.

IDK what year the parts car was....I'll check that out next time i'm there. I'd perhaps guess a grabber because of the fin...and an early one because of the lack of a grabber hood. I asked what he's gonna do with the parts car when they're done, and he said perhaps make a drag car or track car out of it.

anyhow, no stripes. My mother paid for a huge part of the resto, and she said specifically no stripes. Ah well. However, that's why I did two hoods, the original and this grabber hood. the grabber hood is mine to play with, so maybe some striping on it....if that looks good.
