    -CANCELLED- The Ky Mini-Meet; September 20, 2009!

We're only a week away from the first Ky Mini-Meet held here in central Ky so i wanted to start a new, updated post so that everyone has the correct information about times and location.

    Location:
    National Guard Armory
    335 Cow Creek Road
    Ravenna, Ky 40472

    Time:
    10am-2pm

    Events:
-First hour or so will be a meet and great of everyone attending, and their cars (if present).
-Afterwards, we plan to take a cruise thru some of the state routes and see some of the countryside (about a 30-45 minutes cruise)
-There will be food and drink for everyone. Ill be bringing a grille, and Raymond (maverick maniac) will be supplying the meats.
-At some point, maybe during the meet and great, parts and such will be swapped around.
-If everyone is interested, we'll take a small drive to my own personal junkyard of Mavericks to look around, chat, and pick up something if anyone needs anything.

As for the events, they're not set in stone and neither is the order that everything will happen. We're more/less play it by ear and let everything unfold as it happens.

For the eats, I got the armory to let me use their cafeteria which has an ice machine so every little bit helps. They are also loaning me tables and chair so none of that will be needed. PLEASE POST UP WHAT YOU WILL BE BRINGING WITH YOU!!! it's not mandatory to bring anything but this way, i have a good idea of what i need to buy before the meet! :thumbs2:

This is a Rain or Shine Event! the location has a nice lot with plenty of parking for everyone, no matter if your car is trailered or not so that worked out very well. the building has a large bay day and the 'Drill Area' (our main area), has plenty of indoor parking for our cars if it was to rain. so no matter what, this will be our day! :yahoo:

-DUE TO RECENT CIRCUMSTANCES FOR EVERYONE, THIS MEET HAS BEEN CANCELLED. RESCHEDULED DATE IS UNKNOWN (IF ANY). GREAT APPRECIATION TO THOSE THAT WERE INTERESTED IN ATTENDING BUT IT'S JUST NOT IN THE STARS FOR IT TO HAPPEN.-

Sounds good. Don't know what time I'm going to leave out of here yet. I can either leave around 4 P.M. Saturday and get up there around 11 P.M., then drive home Sunday night, or sleep all day Saturday and leave around 1 or 2 A.M. Sunday morning and drive home Monday. Either way, I've got Monday off work, so it dosen't really matter, I'm just trying to cheapskate my way out of staying in a motel 2 nights. :rofl2:

    Dave,

Doesn't look like it's in the cards this year to drive up for the Mini-Meet. I had seriously considered combining it with an All Ford show in Lebanon, Tn the day before. Too many things are in the way, and my sister who lives in Ky is in Fl for the month of Sept at their winter place south of me, so it looks like I will go south to see her instead of north to see you folks. I missed seeing her this summer because she had surgery at the time I was coming up there in Aug. So, I ended up not going Ky this year.

I am sure the cruise through your neck of the woods will be outstanding, lots of trees, rolling hills, and such, very pretty countryside. I was also curious to see your collection of cars, too.

Of course, I most of all wanted to meet everyone. I've met John when I was in Louisville last year and was looking forward to meeting everyone else. Oh well, maybe next year.

You can sure tell that you live in a rural area with a name like Cow Creek Rd. Brings back memories of good ole Ky. Sure missed those tomatoes this year, best in the world, mmmm good!!! Another time.

    Jim
