    hey Maverick lovers, im not only new to the restoration process, but this is the first time i have ever in my 15 or so years playing online actually joined an internet community. truth: Im not even sure what a thread is, or if im doing this right:huh: so anywho...I've been in love with my 71 maverick since i laid eyes on her, and purchased her as the third owner, she was somebody's grandpa's (1st owner) he left it to the son(2nd owner) who garaged it occasionally, until his wife started making offers to other family members of giving it away. is sister drove it to work and said it was embarrassing how people would stare....i figured sounds like a classic so i peeked at it on my lunchbreak...I saw it, loved it, offered a grand, and i've been driving ever since! We are currently working on completely redoing the brakes, but im in oregon and rains and work and whatnots have put my plans behind schedule. I REALLY need a hood and front bench seat, so i sympathize with the person who posted from virginia saying they yards laugh when she calls about parts on a maverick....you all seem like a wealth of information and i really appreciate any thing that could help me out on this project. it's great to be here!
