    Hi All,
Still trying to buy the Maverick that I posted about earlier:

Yesterday I stopped to check on progress, owner is out of country/middle East for 2 months, I suspect at some sort of "training":16suspect camp, but is communicating to his room mate by phone. I finally saw the keys and found the battery low and the gas pedal stuck to the floor. I'm going back today to pull the air cleaner and try to give it a jump start. I couldn't seem to see any throttle cable, but when I tried "jiggling" what looked like the transmission kick down rod the gas pedal released/popped up. When I pushed the gas pedal down it stuck again. Is there some common issue with these setups and where does the cable actually connect? I'm hoping it's simply a binding/sticking issue at the carb that can be cured with some carb cleaner and/or WD40? If it runs well with no smoking/knocking I may go as high as $2600-$2700 but he seems to be holding at $3000. We'll see. For $3000 it would have to need no more than a tune up and have cold blowing AC and everything working!
    Just Asking,
    Gene
