I signed up a few years ago looking for information on the Maverick I had back in the 80ties in Southern California. While I still watch Craigslist I have never seen it advertised. Well I am back on the forum and plan to stay a while this time. I am now on the market for a early model Maverick I'd prefer a 70 model but will take a later model with the small bumpers. However the deal is with my wife before I get to really buy and work on a Maverick I first have to repair my son's 98 Mustang, the door and fender was backed into, they both need replaced and the car will need painted. Then my son also has a 1978 VW bus that I must restore, I started back on it today. Plus I need to finish up on my 57 Chevy. It is painted but need the chrome and interior completed plus all the bugs that need fixed before it is road worthy. This is going to take a while but in the mean time I'll be watching for a Maverick. I saw one a few months ago not to far away, I should have bought it but was not ready. I believe it was a 71, V8, 5 lug, with AC for $1200. My goal will be to make it a daily driver with a modern small block, FI engine with at least 300 hp, automatic tranny and a strong rear end. I'll be around asking questions and making plans, really looking forward to seeing everyone's Maverick pictures. Charlie Shew near Nashville, TN
The 57 looks great, sounds like you have a little work ahead of you before you step into the Maverick world but when you do and get it driving down the road you will feel the joy that many of us do when we are out cruising as it is very rarely that you see them and judging from your 57 if you make it half that nice it will be a head turner And dont eliminate the Comet as they are even fewer in number but just as nice
