A guy stops by my shop yesterday inquring about the yellow Comet GT I had sitting in my parking lot...only it was my yellow 71 Grabber. Anyway, I told him what I would take for it, less the hood. We started talking Maverick and he was telling me about the Comet he and his brother were building back in his home town. (He was down here helping out with Katrina repairs). They are building a big block car. Anyway, the more we talked the more he realized how crazy I was with the Mavericks. He now realizes that I have three more Mavericks at the shop and four at home after I tell him. Of course I had to take him inside and show off my blue car. I took him in my office and showed him pics of the brown LDO and the Sprint. I think he was kinda tripping out over all the Mavs. Anyway, I asked where he was from and when he told me McDonnell Ga., I had to stop and think about it for a minute...do I tell him or just keep it quiet? Of course I'm referring to the MMB. I figured what the hell, he might not like all them GA rednecks but you never know, he might need my help sometime. I figured it was my duty to tell him about the MMB and also about the Round-Up. Anyway, he said he would get online as soon as he got back home so we should get another new member soon. Oh yeah, he saw our cars at FFW back in April too and the guy with the black Comet GT lives close to him. I don't remember what his name was but if somebody shows up with big block Mav soon from Ga, it will likely be him.
Well Ray, since you have almost as many cars as all the Georgia gang put together, you did the right thing! :evilsmile
Ray, I'm 99.99% sure he said McDonough, GA. That's the same city where your trailer came from. By the way, Ray, do you have a tummy ache? You're looking a little green.
Well, at least there is inodoor dining. You have to sit in the car or outside at the Sonic where you hold your Maverick meets. Sometimes, we act big city and meet at Denny's.
Oh, that cheapskate isn't going to take anybody to Dennys. He's just trying to make you think he's a bigwig!
Ken, the whole Georgia Gang hasn't gotten together in a while. We should plan something shortly. Ray, Earl and I have met at Denny's several times. I met Frank at Denny's to buy a car. There is a Denny's right beside a regular monthly car show. You is just jealous because you I ain't never done did invited you to Denny's. BTW, there is a difference between cheapskate and broke. With four daughters, I'm broke.
"Georgia Gang" is that some type of Mob,Mafia, sounds kind of criminal :evilsmile will there be bloodshed? Just Kidding :Handshake Honestly ,I give credit where it is due. If anybody can give the Ohio/Kentucky boys a run for true maverickers it's the notiorius "Georgia Gang"
