    Well I attended the first car show today with my Blue 72 Maverick and came home with a first place trophy, feels good to know that these cars are worthy enough to win against Mustangs and Chevies.

    Had the usual comments from people that had one a long time ago, I just smile and tell them too bad they didnt keep it.

    Very nice!! It sure is great to be part of a group that loves these cars, but it really is best when you see someone who has not seen one for awhile, and how you can see the memories coming alive in their smile, eyes and then thru their voice.

    I went to a car show last night with my 4-door Maverick and won an award for the same reason.

    I won "Sheriff's Choice" and he told me the reson he choose my car was because it was NOT a Nova, Mustang, Camaro, etc.

    I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say something along the same lines. Novas, Mustangs and Camaros are so common that people find it quite refreshing to see something different. I think a lot of people go to car shows not just to look at beautiful cars, but to maybe see something different and unexpected. The Mavericks and Comets do a nice job in the different and unexpected department. Congrats on your wins, guys!:clap::clap::clap:
