Went to install the Autokrafter Z bar thing for the clutch linkage and the frame mount and the motor mount are a mile apart. i noticed im maxed out on the transmisssion crossmember and there is a huge gap between the motor and firewall. I think my engine is sitting an inch and a half to far forward. Do i actually have Maverick V8 mounts?

The water pump pulley is a quarter inch from my electric fan and its a pre-70's block if that matters. 3 speed stock tranny and autokrafters tranny mount cross member.

I believe you to flip the frame mounts around they might be in backwards

they were isntalled so the engine sits as far back as possible. the second pic with the oil filter is the driver side. the oil filter is forward.

Here's a pict of mine just after I pulled engine, yours does seem correct...Also I don't have more than 1/2" clearance from W/P pulley to fan motor...

Any chance there is supposed to be a off set bracket the clutch linkage bolts to??

Those don't look like the correct frame mounts. I have two sets of original Maverick V8 frame mounts and a set that AutoKrafter sells and neither looks like those.

Mavericks and Comets had 2 different styles of frame stands from the factory, one is like the one that he has on this car, the other style does not have the tang that is sticking up in his picture.

The tang should be pointed down for correct orientation, swap them out side to side and it will be correct. Dont know if it will help you but that is the correct installation

Tabs down, offset to the rear. It looks like you have them correctly installed (your pictures are from underneath, right?). Many people have mentioned that when adding an electric fan, the clearance is tight between the water pump and the fan motor. This is especially apparent when a thicker, aftermarket radiator is installed.
