what do i need to look for when buying a maverick?

    im looking to buy a 73 .what do i need to look for. i already know to check to cowl vents and the torque box . what else?

    Frame rails, trunk floor, quarter panels, hood lip, shock mounts, and floor boards. All in all look the whole car over really good.

    See if anything made out of metal is rotted out .... add fender aprons and door bottoms to the list above ...

    i take a gallon jug of water with me and ask if i can pour it into the cowl. thats the area right between the windshield and the hood. if any of it comes out inside the car, it's a good candidate too pass on.:mad:
