I am looking at buying this one but not sure. It is being sold from a stealership and I know the price is inflated from what I would pay from a private party. http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/ctd/1450055007.html

I am also looking at a very clean 1970 maverick that I believe is 4500. I cant find the ad on craigslist anymore but I have been e-mailing the guy and recieved an email from him yesterday.

Im not sure if the either of them are repaints but I suspect they are. They are both way too clean to be factory paint.

    What do you guys think?

    Its a little pricey, but....

if its not rusty, doesnt have too much bondo, and has the motor to back up the looks, I say score. I really like the hood.

As evidenced by the VIN and tail lights, that first one is a '72 COMET, not a Maverick. It's definitely miss-matched together, but other then that weird hood scoop, it doesn't look too bad, needs some attention to detail. Price is definitely too high IMO, but you may be able to hassle them down on it. I'd definitely craw around under it and go over it with a fine tooth comb, it's definitely had a bit of work done on it, and no telling what may have been covered up.

sounds kinda pricey unless the interior really is as nice as they say. plus your probably gonna want to change the bumpers cause those are gonna be BIG BUMPERS

It sorta looks good, looks like it's made up of a few bits and pieces of cars. I like the hood- different.
