I dont have any clue where this came from or what it was connected to. its been dangling for a while and since im in the middle of a heater core replacement i figured i might as well figure out what this thing is and where it ought to be plugged in. thanks
Sorry man that pic is worthless. It is too much of a close-up imo. Think of taking pictures of things you want identified as if you are writing a story. You've got a sentence there with no context around it really. Also what color are the wires? The flash has completely washed out the color. That is one of the MOST important parts of identifying a connector.
No those are smaller connectors. Also this is from what I can tell (having spent quite a bit of time ripping out add-on wiring recently) on the passenger side of the transmission tunnel. That little black round corner box next to the connector is part of the heater ducting, and I think the exposed metal area is the heater core. Wire color is the make it or break it for identifying it for me. I cant tell if its white with an orange stripe or orange with a red stripe. The upper one looks black with grey dashes.
Ok...it's the key minder buzzer. Seatbelt buzzer has 3 wires. 9 times out of 10 the dash instead of the stripe goes to safety or emissions. Now Craig is gonna shoot me for taking a picture at 11:00pm
thank you all. im sorry for the terrible picture and rushed context. It was getting dark and i was trying to wrap up a quick project. it is a 71 and for as long as i have had it i have not heard any buzzers... ignition or seatbelt (also i put inaftermarket seatbelts w/out buzzers). could it just be an ignition buzzer wire that is missing a delete?
