Looking for a nice pair of heads kind of like the gt40s a.k.a. explorer heads

What types of vehicals should i look at? I have been trying to look up truck head specs and im not finding any luck. Now that i know the specific years that the 351 heads will bolt up to the 302, im very interested on finding a nice cheap pair of heads.

    Anyone have a clue?

I have a guy willing to sell me a pair of 302 heads off of a 70 mustang

look for explorers, nothing else. cars and trucks alike will have E7's on them (even 351w equipped trucks).

Ditto. But the most of the cars other than the Mustang had E6SE heads.

by then, they're just "smogger" 302 heads drilled for 1/2" head bolts

They are huge and greasy but free. I was going to use them to built but might make yard art out of them.

If they're off an 87-97 truck, then they're most likely E7's. A few sets of E6's found their way into the trucks, but very few. If they're 85-86's then they're going to be E5's, which are the same as E7's. If earlier, then they're the boat anchor heads used on all 302's and 351's beginning in 77. (D8OE & D9AE's) GT40's were also used in marine applications beginning in 88.

    Here is somemore info.

The 70 mustang heads are acutally 69s so i now know what im looking at

The heads that were on the granada im told are good for low compression engines with a 69 chamber head

The e7s have around 62 cc if im correct, so which one?!!!

i have two extra sets of these heads. supposed to be decent for street use, just grind the "bump" out of the exhaust port like every other Ford head
