ok, a bead lock is what we used in 4wheeling, its a ring that locks the tire to the rim to keep it from popping the bead at low pressure, you don't need it for much anything else other than 4wheeling. The conical taper is the seat for your lug nuts, they should be tapered, not sure what degree. Backspacing determines how far in your tire sits in the wheel well, that is the istance from the wheel mounting surface (wms) IE rotor or drum to the inside edge or bead of your wheel, not sure what the BS is needed for these cars. Offset, I'm not sure what they're asking, I'm sure someone else here can give you a better idea of what you need.

Back spacing that works well on a Maverick is approx 4" , some can go as much as 4 1/2" but you start getting into clearance issues. Offset is the the amount the center of the wheel is "offset" from the center of the rim. IE a newer car has alot of offset (the face of the wheel is flat) on older car the amount offset is smaller. Causing the the center of the tread of the tire to be closer to the centerline of the rotor/brake drum face(surface) Is that clear as mud?

So if we consider that 0 offset is the middle of the rim -18 offset should be what more inside or more outside from center???. And -18 does it too much for comet ???
