Okay, I am really getting bad...I have been calling my car "her" for a while now...So, "she" has a name now...Bettie ...named after the infamous pin-up girl from the 50's, the lovely Bettie Page...So what do you guys call your cars(other than S.O.B., like my Dad calls all of his when he gets ticked with them )
I usually just call it the Maverick, my friends call it the old black car, and "Stupid old P.O.S." seems to work good when I'm working on it.
nick name well the proper name for my car is MavasaurusRex but I usually call it Rex or sometimes *&^#$%
Most of mine have names. My blue Comet is Christine, yes she's possesed lol. The brown Comet is Spirit he's a boy. The 74 Mav is Betsy.
never named my, just call it the black mav or the yellow mav. My 6 year old son calls them #1 and #2. He wants #1 and said his brother can have #2......guess which one is #1?
My 70 is known as the Pumpkin. A guy called it that at the drags back in high school and it stuck. It's grabber orange/black stripes so it fits.
Gonna have Halebopp on the plates, but that is actually my nickname for this site. My wife just calls it... "that ugly car, I don't understand why you don't get a Mustang" She doesn't share my artistic vision nor does she understand my "Maverick" personality. I just tell her I have been working hard at being wierd for 41 years and am proud of it!!
My red 77' Maverick I call " Red". Original, huh? The Stallion has had many names. When we got it, it was the ugliest shade of tan I ever saw. Add to that all the rust spots, Rustolium spray and duct tape holding the doglegs together earned it the name " Ugly". Now that it's all restored again, we can't very well call it "Ugly" anymore. During it's restoration it seems it fought us every step of the way, so it got called very name in the book, none of which I can print here. Dales favorite name for it is " The Car From Hell." He swears the car hates him. We were calling it "Rebel" for a while, but we really don't want it confused with a certain AMC product. Now we just call it "The Stallion".
