I bought new leaf springs from ESPO dearched 2 inches. I installed them with the 2" blocks I already had in place.. I only expected a 2" drop at the most considering they are new springs. Well I was wrong. It dropped it almost 4 inches. Hopefully, taking the blocks out will raise the car enough to sit just right. Good news is, I wont need the blocks any more.
Unfortunately, its not driveable with it that low. Theres about 1/4 inch clearance before it rubs the fender. Not to mention the front end now sits about 1 inch higher than the rear. I could lower the front end to match, but with long tube headers already sitting 3-3/4 inches off the ground, I dare not lower it any more. It is a street car after all.
dude its too bad its not driveable like that because that looks sweet as can be man. What size tire and wheel combo do you have in back?
i like it! to bad it dont fit at least they did you spring right. when i had them dearch mine it sat 2 inches higher then it was before. so i had to stick a block back in.
GrabberGT, What size tires and rims are you running in the back? Also, whats the backspacing? Thanks! Car looks great!
I have got to take some pics of mine rear. I lowered mine about 3 or 3.25 inches. i have 255/45/17. it's a little thiner in width than the 275/40/17. it's very close but it fits. I love the way your car sits. it's perfect. I lowered the front 2.5 inches. the taller back tire makes it look even. Maybe you can put air shocks on the rear.
