I am widening my wheels and i was wondering what is the widest rim size a 1970 maverick back fender can take. i dont want it to be crazy wide. just wide enough to make the car look more aggresive. any pictures you may have for an example would be greatly appreciated.

the width depends on the hight of the wheel. a 15x8 is the bigest 15 that i belive that you can fit and keep the tire inside of the wheelwell. when you go up to 17s you can go wider because the side wall of the tire will have less bulge than the 15s.

They are the original tires. I think they are 14's.

71GTComet is there any rubbing or technical difficulties with yours?

Also depends on the back spacing too. That's actually more important than the diameter.

I have 275 60/15s on mine. MT ET drag radials. 1/4 from my leaf spring and my inner fender. I cut the lip in half and slightly rolled the remaining up a little. They are mounted on Weld pro lites with 4 1/2 back spacing I believe
