    Hi all,

My Grabber will not start once again. This is the third starter, and i'm getting frustrated. I thought it was burning them up, but it does not seem to be the case. I talked to a friend and we ended up taking the starter I had in before this one and hooking it up to a battery, and it spun! So my question is what could be the issue? I used my jumper cable to bypass the solenoid and do a direct power to the starter and I heard it like "clunk" almost as if it's trying to spin but won't. What could this be? This is the third time it's done this to me and i'm at wit's end!

    thanks,
    Jason

Check your ground cable.Heck check both cables/connections at battery, solinoid, starter.Sounds like you are not getting proper voltage/amperage through the start circuit.Do a voltage drop test on the cables. You may have a bad one.

yes, but why would it not turn over going directly from battery to starter?

Make sure the wire going to the starter is tight, and on the correct side.

New cables are CHEAP and look cool... The problem is probly at the block on the ground cable. I have seen a battery that would cause this same thing... and long story short, I have seen a trans cause it too. Of course it was the rebuilders at Eagle Transmission in Mesquite TX that caused it and charged me alot of cash.

Even if your battery terminals and posts are corrosion free.......if they are gray in color, clean them. They should be silver-looking:2cents:
