windshield rubber ?

    I called Steele Rubber to get a windshield seal for my 72 comet gt and was told that a comet part # is not the same as a maverick ? How can that be ? I though a body parts and mouldings were the same ? Is the inside lip of the rubber seal different?

    news to me too. all of my 72 Comet parts that I found were interchangeable with my 72 Maverick. (besides the obvious)

    They are not different. Just an ignorant sales person.

    maybe the confused it with a 60s comet.
