Well folks my last thread was getting to big ,so here is part 2 .The blue part of the hood will be wet sanded with 1200 tomorrow as there is a little dust in it and then polished . I will then apply the silver pin strip to follow the paint so it looks like the factory job.The hood will be finished and on my Grabber Friday night.I will take new pics on the car Saturday.Jimmy P.S sorry about the pics they were taken with my Iphone

that is probably the best looking hood i have seen flow and line wise... I've done some radical mods in the day some cracked some didn't but we get some cold ass winters here in massachusetts.

real nice job man, bet it looks the balls on the car !

has the mold for the new hood been made? if not, is he going to use your newly painted hood...never seen a mold made, just wondering how it will be done.

hello Frank,No the mold has not been made yet,I have to see if 5 or more folks would be very interested in one first. The paint finish on my hood has to cure for two weeks then a mold can be made .What is done frank is the mold builder puts up to 14 coats of wax on my hood and then he can make a fibreglass mold out of it.99 % of the time the hood is not damaged in anyway when peeling the hood from the mold.Damage may happen because the resin gets so hot while making the mold ,but im willing to do it for the good of the Maverick folks and to have a light 22 lb Grabber Cowl Induction hood ,and hey i can always repaint it.

That's a great job I would buy one but seems people are afraid to ship a hood bought dozens of hoods from other vendors no problem but MAVERICKMAN won't ship to me so if you will. I'll buy as soon as there done and will pay up front no problem just let me know when money in hand cost not issue for me. I think you have really stepped outside the box here and have a totally unique hood thanks.........(y)

Bryant ,thats a good question i was just going to put my steel ones onto the fibreglass hood but i will talk to Ken from ToKen proformance fibreglass parts about it and see what he says .It might be just as easy for him to make it wit the scoop inserts in ,ill check after the weekend.Jimmy. cjtorinoman, if i have fibreglass ones built and im hopping to ,i will ship them to the few that want them .I need a min of 6 ordered and i want two, so it shouldnt to to difficult :thumbs2:
