all mavericks and comets are pretty simular, just depends on how many doors and cylinders you want in it. Good luck with your search, there are a few for sale on here you might want to check out. I was only 17 when I got mine, I know the feeling.

there easy to work on but i dont know if a v8 would have that much if any affect on your insurance. My 1978 V8 Monte Carlo,is the same price am my straight 6 maverick. I'd do some research and get some quotes before you decide

    :Welcome:

Mavericks are great cars and very easy to work on, great for the "do it yourself mechanic in training." :D :rofl2: They are extreamly dependable. If you maintain these cars correctly (get ahold of an owners manual and follow it exactly), they will run forever. Good luck in your search.
