: Hey guys, I test drove the mav i was looking at today. It has been sitting out on thier lot for about 3 months now, but the thing started right up. Besides the front end knocking when i go over bumps and the break pedal needing to be stepped on by an elephant, nothing was wrong (that i saw). Anyways, is that front end knocking just like the shocks or something, or does it mean that the front end is going to collapse? i sure hope not! they are selling it to me for $500.... i just hope i can get the loan tomorrow.

Could be the Idler arm bushing. The pitman arm is connected to sterring gear box on the drivers side. The idler arm is on the passenger side connected to the frame. Check the ball joints as well.
