First change all the liquids. I also change the thermostat and put in a Presetone Back flush to wash the radiator. That way you know where you are when you start. Figure about $60 bucks if you also use Slick 50 or ther oil additive. Also grease the ront end and check the break shoes or pads. That is about all the preventive things you can do to a New for You Maverick. Good Luck and enjoy. BTW I have two and paid $425 (71)and $275(76)for them. The 71 has been going strong for 2 years and only cost me total of about $300 in parts and maint for those years not bad. Enjoy.
