I got my '73 in October 1981 with 68,000 original miles, 2-door, V-8, A/C, automatic, dual sport mirriors and rear window defogger for $1300. Now that it has over 177,000 miles on it and 18 more years, is it worth twice as much? The answer is NO. Once the engine is rebuilt and the body & paint are done, It'll be worth around 3-grand. But I'm seeing some ridiculous prices asked for these piece-of-crap 4-doors with six cylinders, no A/C and high mileage. I'm devoted to my Maverick BUT it is NOT a Shelby Mustang that goes up in value as it gets older...

: I agree that the price for the four door Maverick below is high, but I still havent got over the estimate value some of you gave for that Stallion on the old message board. How about if we let the value of our Mavericks go up? I realize there were a lot of them made, but I also know there are not that many left on the road especially of the more desireable (in my oppinion) 70-72.
