: When I pull my parking brake it feels normal until I get it almost fully engaged and it pops and all the tension is gone. The first time it happened I thought I broke it but it happens every time. Any ideas what's wrong. Thanks, DS.

Get on Your head and get under the dash,You'll find a Pully with a clevis pin that Your E brake cable goes to.Remove the hair pin cotter that holds the clevis pin in,remove the pully, now You will see that the bushing is shot,go to a GOOD parts store and buy a bronze bushing,7/16 OD and 5/16 ID,cut to size, stake it in place, replace same and You got a working parking brake
