A question of Maverick ethics and purity???

I looked at a very nice Maverick for sale yesterday.
It was Pro Streeted with a full cage and tubs, really nice white paint with Gray(?) pearl over it, Centerline Convo-Pros with Mickey Thompsons all around.

Here is where the problem lies, the running gear...It has a VERY built small block chevy (526 bhp flywheel, from the dyno sheet) a turbo 350 trans, and a 12-bolt chevy rear (on a fully adjustable Alston 4-link) with a Torsen diff and 3.73 gears.

Is this sacrilege or is it acceptable, the price in my opinion is pretty reasonable for the car. Thanks, Scott
