: Point one Carol Shelby ever hear of him.--he also built Mopars!

You list the collectable Fords and Mercurys to include Comets, Cougars, Mavericks, and Cyclones?!!!!?
Sorry guys, I love my Mav, but it is in no way a collecter-car. Why do you think they're so cheap and easy to find. Not too many people will hem and haw about selling you their restored Mav, Comet, Cyclone, etc. for $3000 or less. And collectable Mopars, try Darts, Barracudas, Challengers, Dusters, Demons, Road Runners, Coronets, Super Bees, GTX, Super Birds, Satellites, Belvederes, and Chargers, just to name a few!!!!!!
Also, cars built after 1972 aren't all that desirable! They're smog-motor cars! Can anyone guess what the fastest American production vehicle of 1978 was? A truck, a Dodge Lil Red Express. So face it, these mid to late 70's cars are not muscle cars! The muscle car era ran from the mid-60's to the very early 70's. And who dominated this era? Mopar. Beg to differ? Which car maker had their engines banned from both the NHRA and Nascar? That's right, Mopar. They were just too fast for the Ford's and Chevy's. What does every Top Fuel Dragster have in common? A Hemi. Get over your Redneck complex and face the music.
