It's all a matter of how bad somebody wants to have a Maverick. A 1969 MACH 1 428SCJ can fetch over $20000.00. I have seen A GT500KR convertable (1968) sell for $60,000.00. In 1992 I sold a 1969 BOSS429 MUSTANG for $36,000.00, (my divorce).

It is all based on how bad you want something. When these cars are all gone, they still may be worth very little. But they are getting RARE. Nothing is free. The cost of restoration needs to be paid. Nobody rides for free!

The way to get the best deal , either buying or selling is to take your time, never be in a hurry.

: If you can find someone that is willing to pay that for the car, great for you. Some of out here though would rather spend money on fixing them up, not just to pay for them. I can't imagine paying $9000 for a 57 Chevy that needs a good bit of restoration, which I saw this past weekend, and I can't imagine paying more than $1000 for the Maverick. Though I love the cars, and would like to have them all, I still would rather not have to take out a loan to buy a car that doesn't even have a book value. Good luck on your venture.

: : I agree that the price for the four door Maverick below is high, but I still havent got over the estimate value some of you gave for that Stallion on the old message board. How about if we let the value of our Mavericks go up? I realize there were a lot of them made, but I also know there are not that many left on the road especially of the more desireable (in my oppinion) 70-72.
