I found one of these floor shifters but the trans had been removed so I dont have the adjustable rod. How would a person find one of these? Also my son's 70 doesn't appear to have the dimples that you mention. I think I will have to go back to the yard and make a template for the hole, that is if I can find one of the rods. Is the rod fairly simple? Could one be fabricated? Thanks for any info on this.
: What shifter? automatic or standard. I have only seen an auto floor shifter, this shifter has a bracket that screws to the transmission tunnel(a hole is cut in the top of the tunnel, factory dimples mark the spot), the shifter is connected to the transmission by a rod which is adjustable, I don't know if all Maverick floor shifters are the same as I have only seen them on '74 GRABBERS (mine)
