Got another one for you Green Machine. I'm trying to figure out why my 73 pulls to the left. I have replaced everything on the front as far as brakes except the drums. Tried adjusting them. Replaced the fluid. Bled them down. I adjusted them last night so that the right side almost held the car at idle, gave it gas and pressed on the brakes and it pulled left. Any suggestions?

: : When I'm stopped at a stoplight, I hear a chattering/clattering sound. If I put my mav in neutral(automatic) and let off the brake, the noise quiets down. Cruising or accelerating, etc, it's quiet. I've got (4) drum brakes(no power brakes). Any ideas? It's not fun. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

: Hi....I work at a Meineke in town here in Wisconsin....from what I know about brakes, Im thinking it isnt brakes thats making the chattering noise, never really ran into a problem with how you were explaining it while you were stopped at a light and when you'd take your foot off the brake and it'd quiet up...but it could be like the other guys said, its the hold down spring kit...just rip the bastard apart and make sure everything is there and working properly...who knows..you may have a frozen wheel cylinder and the shoes arent even expanding when you apply the brake...therefore theres play in teh shoes and springs makin em rattle....who knows....just roll up the sleeves and get dirty...check it out. :) The noise could be alomst anything....I got lots of rattles on my mav that arent brakes....hehe
