: one small thing you will need is a throttle cable from a v-8 car , I beleive that the bell housings are the same(not positive). The driveshaft should be the same. I seem to remember reading on this board that the 6 cylinder type c-4 IS weaker than the v-8 one (but I CANT understand what would be the weaker part ).The front springs are different but if you don`t mind some front end drop they should work fine. My son and I are about to swap a 302 into a 71 6-cyl grabber in the next couple of weeks I`ll let you know what changes we have to make along the way. M.A.V,

Just remember...the tranny brace...loosen the nuts on the tranny and slide it forward as far as it will go. Also...remember to get the frame mounts for the motor mounts. The L brackets that the 6 use won't work. Good luck all. I've done it twice, fun both times.
