K = Spring stiffness (lbs/in)
W = Wire Diameter
G = Constant (12,000,000)
N = number of active coils (no. of free coils + .5)
D = coil diameter measured to wire centers
This is a very sensitive equation - small errors in measurement will result in huge errors in the calculation. Good luck
