I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THAT SPRING RATE EQUATION YOU MENTIONED. CAN YOU POST IT IN TEXT FORMAT OR WOULD YOU LIKE MY E-MAIL ADDRESS?

: ...This will effect a 1" drop and correct some of the unnerving handling tendencies of the stock front end. You will need a camber compensating "wedge" to prevent ball-joint bind due to the revised angle of the a-arm. Cutting the spring will get you the rest of the way without unduly stiffening the spring rate. Watch out for clearance problems with the under carriage: especially the swaybar and tires. So far as how much to cut, you will need to calculate the sring rate - this involves measureing the coil diameter, height and the wire thickness. I have the formula somewhere:)

: : ok here is my question i have a 351w built and ready to put in my 74 mav but i still dont have any coil springs, i want to cut them for a
