...that looks potentially dangerous. The stock 4-lugs are 9" dia. Bigger rear brakes could lead to rear lockup on a hard stop. That would cause you to lose control & swap ends:( Now if you can get 10" 4-lugs for the front, then you would be ok. Of course, you would still have crappy drums & a 4-lug pattern;)


: OK so the down side to adding a disk rear end is the cost.

: This info comes to me from a guy named Steve, he knows the parts interchangability stuff by heart. Anyway he got me the tanny dipstick tube on site and has done the same with a lot of parts that I have needed over the years. I told him that I was looking to do a Granada swap for front disks and that I was thinking about a Versalles rear end but the cost was too much. Here is the great news he gave me.

: The 10 by 2.5 rear drum brakes from an 80s Ford F100 not the F150 are a direct bolt on for better breaks for four lug Mavericks. They even have the four bolt pattern. If you have an all drum car the rear brakes will be about the same as the front breaks. This is almost as simple as changing your break shoes.
