: hey guys or gals I have a 70 maverick with a 250 inline 6. well it seems I have a reacurring problem. Sometimes and I state sometimes, my car don't want to idle. I think that it's the carb but i have done all the regular tuning options ie:spark plugs, fuel fliter, etc: And most of the time when i shut the car off it trys real hard to stay on. Well if it is the carb what should i replace with? One more thing, my piston rigs are probabally gone due to the fact i'm getting fouled plugs often and oil in the chamber, should i just get a overhaul and what kind of price should i pay for this to be done or should i just get a new motor all together(like a 302) and how would i find one? any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

ummm so is it the carb or what is the problem i heard this is a common problem with mavericks, also i want a new carb if needed what will work??
