:a turbo 4 banger Pinto or Mav in the tens, love to see that one, if so then why isn't everyone building them. doubt you ever been in the 12s and know what it takes, Why didn't the turbo Stangs & Fairmonts get into the 14s if the turbo is so good, A bonestock 460, daily driver will put that bad boy in the low 13s easy, TURBO in the 10s, there is a guy at the drag strip that runs a 91 Turbo 5.0L Stang with alot of goodies and he runs 10.30s all the time. turbo is a maintence nightmare, oiling problems, extra heat, special piping and extra engine cooling required, etc, why do you think they stopped doing them?

While a bigblock would be cool for a barely streeter, the turbo four -could be build for far less dollars and modifications, the stock tranny and a 8" rear would live quite nicely with a fast 2.3L Turbo motor
: -go about as quick(yes i did say that! I would guess, since a Turbo pinto would go about mid tens, a mav would be good for high 10's easy.)
: -get WAY better gas milage and be much more streetable
: -wouldnt sound as nasty but could beat many a 5.0
: -would handle far better without the excess 300# on the front end.
: -could be fitted with less structural reconstruction

: Just my opinion, I would love a BB monster motor, but not in something I wanted to drive at least a couple of days a week!
