I mounted my tach on the column so I don't want that thing sleeve turning...and the key can now be turned off in any gear and the wheel will lock (even while driving !!!) and can be taken out of 'Park' without the keys...That doesn't bother me because I am aware of it but It pisses me off about the reverse lights not working...
: ...that connects from the selector (on the trans) to the column (not the shifter-trans one), it operates the "column" like the old shifter (on the column did )controlling the reverse lights and "park interlock" (can't remove the key unless trans is in park). The down side is that it won't "fit" if you've got headers...BTDT
