Exactly. But where a turbocharger exceeds the supercharger in power is that 1/3 of a superchargers added powere is used to turn the supercharger itself. Thus if you flow enough extra air to produce 150 extra HP, you will only see 100 of it. Turbo's use the already flowing exhaust gas to spin the turbine resulting in very little parasitic loss. On a V engine though, a supercharger is MUCH easier to install and package than a turbo. But all the Pro 5.0 guys are switching to turbo's from superchargers and running faster. Can you say 7's? Those guys are hauling ass.

Now I didn't say it would be a daily driver, but it will be street legal in every way (all equipment working) and even pass an emmissions test. That's the best part of turbochargers. When I race, I will be running 30 psi of boost and 110 octane, while on the street, all you have to do is turn a knob to lower the boost to around 20 psi and go cruising. It's not gonna be a luxury car by any means, but not totally intolerable like some of those big block pro streeters that run 10's.
