I agree about using a template. Double stick tape works even better if you can use that. Take a paper punch and put a hole in a srip of double stick tape, make sure the tape is long enough to hang a couple of inches off of the back of the spoiler. Do this for each screw hole. Centering the tape hole on the screw hole. then place the spoler in position. now holding the tape to the trunk by the pieces that are hanging off the pack, remove the spoiler. the tape is now marking your hole locations. Don't worry about peeling a paint chip. It is going to be under the spoiler anyway. To prevent rust if you do peel a paint chip off just use some touch up paint or, in a pinch, clear nail polish. This technique works great if the spoiler is a simple bolt on. If it has centering pins or a lighting harness, then you are going to need a template. Good luck.
