: It's actually quite easy (although I will tell you right now that they weren't available until '74 or '75); simply take an adjustable wrench (Crescent type) and close it on the sway bar (not too tight though). remove the wrench and measure the gap of the open wrench. This will give you the diameter of the sway-bar...
