: Thanks for the heads up....I have several Mavericks I am parting out and now I will look instead of just sending them off to the junk yard.
: ----------------------------
: : It's actually quite easy (although I will tell you right now that they weren't available until '74 or '75); simply take an adjustable wrench (Crescent type) and close it on the sway bar (not too tight though). remove the wrench and measure the gap of the open wrench. This will give you the diameter of the sway-bar...

: :
: : : How do you tell which sway bar your Maverick has from the factory.....3/4 or 7/8??

: : : ----------------------------------
: : : : I ran into another Maverick person this weekend and the discussion
: : : : was about handling and suspensions. In his opinion the
: : : : best investment is a larger front sway bar. So....
: : : : what do I need and where do I find it.
: : : : p.s. only the REAL T.L. needs to respond.

The way I measure swaybars it to use either size open end wrench and put it around the swaybar. It's lik T.L.'S idea except this way you don't have to measure the crescent wrench since open end wrenches are usually marked.....just another way to check without a special tool.
