Howdy
I recently bought a 1971 Maverick with a 6 cylinder 200cu.
In the process of trying to drill out a bolt that broke off in
the rear flange of the head (Exhaust Manifold Bolt) I didn't quite
drill as straight as I thought I had. turns out most of the bolt
is still there on the bottom but most is gone on the top. Sigh.
My roommate, who's far more knowledgable about cars & engines than I am,
asked if I'd ever reset the valves before. We had to take the head off
to fix the bolt hole & obviously had to remove the valve's to do that.
I haven't been able to find any repair manuals or specs on this car for the
life of me. What do I need to know to get them back on & functioning properly?
Do any of you know where I can get a book on this car/engine?
I'm also trying to find a heater coil, hood, bumper, grill, and the flashing(?)
that the license plate goes on (front). The body work is not priority right now
as what's left is in pretty good condition other than some rust on the underside
of the hood where the chrome strip attaches (or at least used to) :-). The main
things I'm interested in now is the info on car/engine. I'm also curious if there
was a glove box option on the 71 Mav and if so about how much would it run to
get a Blue glove box?

Thanx in advance.

Steve
