Go to Moser Engineering or Currie Entprises for Forged steel axles. Put in a Detriot Locker and no problems. A 9" will fit , tough to find in right width any more, Mustangs have them. Stay with the 8".

An 8" would be fine, but it is my understanding that they are really only designed for less than 300 hp, which i hope to exceed. By "good" sources, i mean ones that require no mods and are "a dime a dozen". I'd rather not hassle with rough modifications at this point...
