I have done both, just the ball joint and replaced the arm with the ball joint installed. it was much easier to replace the arm. I think that I got them from NAPA auto part for less than $60.00ea. where as the ball by it's self is $15.95 and take at least a whole day to change. To change the lower arm you basically only have to un bolt 2 bolts, pull it out, put in the new one bolt it up and then get a front end alignment. And you can do this in your car port if you have the proper tools, especially a ball joint tool. Good luck.

: I called for a couple of quotes today for repalcing the ball joints
: in my 73.(302)
: The answers I am getting are that the lower control arm/ball joint is
: one assembly. $93 and up each!

: I can't do the job myself (currently an apt dweller), and I recall this
: subject as having been discussed.

: Has anyone ACTUALLY DONE the job, and can the lowers be replaced?
