I'm planning to replace my tires soon, the current tires are in great shape as far as tread is conserned, but they are splitting on the sidewall. I think they just sat way too long. Anyway, I want to put on some wider tires, the tires I have now look really stupid. I don't want to spend too much money on them right now, maybe 200 for a full set.
I was thinking of replaceing the fronts with the same size, and going as wide and tall as I can in the rear.
What sizes can I put on the mav? It's a '71 4 door with 14" wheels. I'd like to lift the back up about an inch or so if I can.
What brands would you recommend that will be inexpensive, but still grip and last for a while.
