Hi everyone, went to the junkyards today...
Took a look at the Mustang II front suspension, and i've decided that it is far superior to the mavericks....has anyone put or thought of putting this suspension on the mavericks? My car is eating tires too, and getting rid of those huge shock towers could sure add a lot of options for the engine compartment!! What are the chances that the front suspension and (i'll just call it the crossmember--the whole setup) could be welded in to replace the mavericks? Also, i didn't look, but would i get disk brakes and all with the mustang II front end?? Kill two birds with one stone! I guess some steering stuff might have to be changed, but apparently the mustang II/Pinto steering components are NOT hard to come by (popular size).
If the Mustang II wouldn't work, are there any that would?
