Wow. How do I explain this. I had a lot of trouble with mine as well. I ended up using 2 different spring compressors, in stages. The first one to compress the spring to get it out of the car (inside the spring), and another one (MacPherson Strut kind) (outside the spring)to get the spring loose from the first compressor. It was a real bear. Check your compressor. It should have one long arm and one short arm on each side. Make sure it is oriented correctly so that you're getting the maximum reach available, in the smallest amount of length. Did you try flipping it end for end so that the tightening "bolt" comes down from the top? Also, when performing this procedure it's a good idea to drop a good heavy bar or even a chain down through the center of the spring to prevent it from flying out and hitting you if it slips. Whatever you do, be careful. A loose spring can kill you.

: ok well i ordered my pst front end kit and i basically have everything off of the front end now but i cant get the coil springs out i have tried using the loner spring compressor from auto zone but when i would tighten it up the "bolt" in the center would bottom out on the spring pearch and i wouldnt move it and i was affraid if i unbolted the pearch the spring would get loose and kill me or somthing so if im doing somthing wrong or if anyone has any advise please let me know.
: thanks
