I messed up the last post and now i will hear heck about it.
Your going the other way. Duh Mark. Go to a bolt shop and buy
tapered bolts about a buck each. Get the hardened bolts of course.

here is how to get the right bolts.

1. Stick the 3/8 bolt through the 302 head and measure how much sticks out.
Add about 1/8 inch to that. This give you how much 3/8th thread you need.
2. Stick the 7/16 bolt through the 351 head and measure how much sticks out.
Add about 1/8 inch to that and subtract that legth from the total bolt length.
This gives you how much 7/16 bolt you need.
The 1/8 inch is play and it is better to have a little because your heads may need
to be machined
3 Take these lenghts to a bolt shop and get the tapered bolts with the closest
measurements. remember not to get and bolt with more 7/16 than the measurement
from 2 above.
